Matt Victorsen and wife Lauren took over the Emerald On-Course Pro Shop in December 2016. After representing Queensland as a schoolboy, Matt started and completed his PGA Traineeship from 2005-2008. The Emerald Golf Club originally opened on 2nd December 1934 and was originally located near the current cricket fields and Mitre 10 store with 9 holes of sand greens. The Club was relocated to its current location in 1947 with 9 holes of sand greens. On March 7, 1976 the club opened 9 holes of grass greens and in 1985 upgraded to 18 holes of full grass greens.
