• How to join

Full membership of the Emerald Golf Club is open to any person of good character and repute who has attained the age of 18 years, has an interest in playing golf, and whose membership is, in the opinion of the Board of Directors, likely to be compatible with existing members of the association. As part of your membership, you’ll receive the advantage of reciprocal membership with 69 golf courses throughout Queensland. Click here to read our Directory of Reciprocal Clubs.

Step 1: Decide what type of membership you want

The Emerald Golf Club offers the following types of memberships “Full”, "Full Ezypay”, “Pro rata”, “Junior” and “Non-playing Social". Members are entitled to play in our Club Competitions on any day of the week or you can also play socially or practice at any time during the day/week outside of normal competition times. Emerald Golf Club takes great pride in the quality of membership we provide and we take great care in ensuring that the culture and values of the Club are maintained through new members.  Application forms can be picked up from Reception, downloaded from the link below or by contacting the main office. Our administration officer, Lyn Stallard, is available to personally assist you with your membership enquiry. She can be contacted directly on  (07) 4982 1274  or you can send an email to  admin@emeraldgolfclub.net.au  to have any of your questions answered.

Step 2: Pay your membership fees

The Emerald Golf Club offers a couple different options for you to pay your fees. You can pay the full amount in person or via by monthly direct debit payments taken directly from your account by the Ezypay.  Note that in addition to this there is an $8.25 set up fee, a $2.10 processing fee each payment and a $3.00 fee per quarter for data handling.

Step 3: You are now ready to play golf

Once your membership application has been approved and any payment plans have been finalised you will be contacted by the club to confirm your membership.

Do You Have a Golf Australia Handicap?

You need an official Golf Australia handicap to play in any of the club competitions. If you have had a handicap in the previous five or so years then it will still be current. If you do not have a handicap you will need to hand in to the Pro Shop, three 18 hole cards with the number of strokes recorded to complete each hole on each card. The round must be played with a current financial member. Both you and the member must sign the card to verify it is correct. A card may be compiled as two separate 9 hole events.

Access to Golf Competitions Electronic Booking Sheet

The club uses an electronic booking sheet called OneGolf for members to select tee times to enter club competitions. A computer is available in the Bar for this purpose if you do not have access to one yourself. You can also ring the ProShop ((07) 4982 1793 and Lauren or Matt will enter you onto a time sheet.
